Scott Holmes - September 2006

September 3-7, 2006
Hi, my name is Scott Holmes. I'm 46 years old from Madison, WI. From the
very first time I met Dr. Rogerson and his wonderful staff all made me
feel welcome. I knew I was in good hands.
Surgery went well. I'm told by Dr. Rogerson that I had bone spurs as big
as his finger!
My wife and I came to the Heights on the third day. HipHab is wonderful.
The staff was outstanding.
Pool therapy was great but be careful it's easy to overdo it in the
pool.
For the first time in 2 years, I didn't limp. After the 2nd pool
therapy, my leg did swell up quite a bit.
Dr. Rogerson and Desiree said that can happen. On post-op day 4, my wife
drove me to my 9th grade daughter's high school volleyball game. They
did so well, we stayed for the 2nd match which probably wasn't the best
thing for my swollen leg. The next day I had to massage and elevate and
ice quite a bit.
The PT staff at the hospital and Heights are absolutely wonderful.
Special thanks to Tonya and Desiree. A very special thanks goes to Dr.
Rogerson, Renee, and JoAnna. What a team! In this day and age, how many
doctors really take the time to talk to their patients and really get to
know them? Dr. Rogerson visited us in our apartment on Labor Day evening
and even on his anniversary! He truly cares about his patients and wants
to see excellent outcomes. Renee and JoAnna are so sweet and
knowledgeable. Even Dr. Rogerson's office staff are kind and helpful.
(The cookies and coffee are a nice treat.) Class act describes your
office.
Thanks for everything! Make sure you visit the Henry Street Café. The
people are so friendly.
What a great experience and best of luck to all other "hipsters."
Scott Holmes
