HipHab Hooray!!
Just want to again give you our immense appreciation for not only
accepting Arne as a Hip Resurfacing candidate, but especially for the
dramatic improvement in his quality of life after his hip resurfacing on
March 10, 2008!!
Even though he is nearing his 61st birthday, it was totally awesome to
see him climbing ladders,
scampering on scaffolding like he was 20 years younger, as he
delightedly could go back and finish his beloved carpentry projects that
previous pain and immobility had impeded!
It is so wonderful to go hiking, canoeing, horseback riding, trout
fishing, and all of the other things we both had loved, but put aside
due to his disability.
He is like a new man - even his knee pain, numbness, and aches are gone!
He can touch his toes, swing hay bales, and use a chainsaw - all that
were unlikely to be done before his surgery. Having a happy,
non-depressed or angry that he had a loss of his ADL's, is an even
better benefit!
Since he passed his 6 month post-op visit with you, he has gained even
more confidence as his hip holds up so well, and he no longer looks like
the bent, limping, slow painful gaited guy that was suffering so much.
If you ever need someone to advocate for your outstanding hip
resurfacing procedure - from office visits to Best Practices in
Infection Controlled surgery to HipHab, please send them our way! Thank
you and your team so very much for giving us new life for our retirement
years!
God Bless!! (Sorry we missed the HipHab Party - was on call & unable to
trade!)
